Written observation by third party submitted by PRO VITA Bucharest and Alliance of Romania’s Families in the case of S.K.K. and A.C.G. vs. Romania (no. 5926/20), before the European Court of Human Rights, Fourth Section. The applicants are same sex couples who complain that the Romanian legislation does not allow them to get married or to enter into any other type of civil union and thus they are being discriminated against as a result of their sexual orientation and disadvantaged by the lack of legal recognition of their relationship. They invoke Article 8 taken alone and in conjunction with Article 14 of the Convention.
